PBS was no stranger at introducing Young Talent to the World.
In 1972, ZOOM premiered. The Show was a Museum of what the 70's should look like.
The Show was cancelled in 1978.

They tried to hard to "dull" this thing up, that they put up a Different Version of the Theme Song. This wasn't what 70s Kids were looking for because it didn't look like their ZOOM.

In 1997, WGBH 125 in Boston wanted to reinvent ZOOM.
They didn't want it to be the 70s Style. With these Rugby Shirts and these Cute Kids.
They had to leave the Old Stables behind, gone with the Songs and the Rugby Shirts.
Kate Taylor, who worked for the Original "ZOOM" compared the '88-'91 ZOOM with the Upcoming ZOOM.
They needed Hip, New ZOOMers so Modern Audiences could watch
Casting Director Nancy Doyle called some kids and at the Auditions, she told them what they were going to do.
In 1999, PBS was sure they had a Hit with their Hip, New, ZOOM!
But the ZOOMers knew School had to come first
A Big Change was Happening.
Season 6 was the most magical Season.
Again, Nancy Doyle called the Best Kids to tell them that they were going to audition for ZOOM.
In 2005, the Cast was notified the Show would be cancelled. There were auditions for Season 8.
The Show aired its last episode in May 6 2005, and went off the air in 2010.
